Having represented both sides of the fence, private developers and public housing, I applaud the government for doing more for social housing.
However, in light of current economic times and trying to obtain the best return on taxpayers hard earned dollars, one would think it would be far more effective to spread the proposed $20 million dollars over lower prices properties in order to house more of the populous.
With the controversy surrounding the potential axing of negative gearing (again) and the government focusing on high net worth property for social housing, I question the current policies which seem to create further problems to already sensitive issues and areas.
